Have you ever seen a messy website? A dirty website is cluttered with images, ads, flashing things, links and text. It is difficult to find what you are looking for.
When I talk about a CLEAN website, I am referring more to the markup. Websites created using software (Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc.) contain very messy code that make it harder for browsers to read. Messy websites are slower to load and often function poorly. At 49 Blocks, I write my websites from scratch using pure (X)HTML and CSS. There is no mess. The code is simple, to-the-point and browsers love it.
A CLEAN website is also easy to update, meaning that maintenance costs to the client are less.
