About 49 BlocksI believe everyone should have a great website.
My name is Jenna Kammer and 49 Blocks is my small, home-based web design business. I am a trained librarian and am currently teaching library science and computer technology classes at NMSU-Alamogordo and UNM-Gallup. I began designing websites 5 years ago while in graduate school. My current interests include Web 2.0, Library 2.0 and teaching information and digital literacy.
I use pure (X)HTML and CSS to design my websites. My websites address usability and accessibility for users of all levels, on all types of browsers. My mission is to fill the web with organized, clean and informational websites for organizations of all financial abilities.
What does '49 Blocks' mean? The "49 Blocks" is the historic district in the beautiful town of Tularosa, New Mexico. The "49 blocks" are filled with adobe homes and tree-lined streets. In the middle of the Tularosa Basin desert, these 49 blocks are truly an oasis, fed by the acequia (ditch irrigation system) and the Tularosa River.
